I love the sand dunes in Death Valley. Lots of dunes to give shadows in the pictures and the mountains are in the back ground for some depth. On this occasion though, I hit the top of a dune and looked across the way to find this hiker standing on a dune peak. I had to get this shot and fortunately for me the hiker did linger a bit on the peak! I do wish I knew who he was, he'd probably like a copy.
